Harlsey Castle, Yorkshire
Harlsey Castle is the ruins of an early 15th-century castle near West Harsley, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. Harsley Castle was built by Sir James Strangways, a judge of Common Pleas who purchased the manor in 1423. The built remains include a single-storey three-bay, stone-built structure in a farmyard, once the lower storey of the castle keep. The rubble cores of some walls remain. Three sides of the moat are still visible. The monument is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
