Hare Street, Essex
Hare Street is a former hamlet that is now an eastern suburb of Romford, Essex. Hare Street lay along the Roman road from Brentwood to Romford, between the Gidea Hall and Hare Hall estates. The area became suburbanised during the inter-war period. The area is often today considered to be a part of Gidea Park. The Ship public house dates from the 17th century. The area is within the council area of Havering.
