Hangman's Stone is a grey sarsen boundary stone at the southern extent of Leckhampstead parish in Berkshire. Its name is explained by a local tale of a man who stole a sheep, tied it by the legs and hung it around his neck to carry it home. He grew tired, and sat down on the stone to rest and fell asleep. The sheep struggled and the cord hanged the man. The stone is within the council area of West Berkshire.
