Hangleton, Sussex

Hangleton is a former village that is now a suburb of Hove, Sussex. The manor of Hangleton has Saxon origins. St Helen's Church dates from the 12th century. The Old Manor House (now part of Hangleton Manor Inn) dates from the 15th century. The village had been largely depopulated for several centuries before the construction of the modern suburb during the interwar period. Hangleton is within the council area of Brighton and Hove.
