Hampton Court, Middlesex

Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace beside the River Thames in Middlesex, built in the reign of King Henry VIII, whose legacy looms large here. It has not been inhabited by the Royal Family since the 18th century but remains a Royal palace and it is on occasion the venue of state function. It is within the council area of Richmond upon Thames.
