Halton Castle, Cheshire
Halton Castle is a mediæval castle located on the top of Halton Hill, a sandstone prominence overlooking the village of Halton, Cheshire. The original 11th-century motte-and-bailey castle was replaced with the current sandstone castle in the 13th century. It is within the council area of Halton.
