Hainault is a large suburban housing estate in the far north-east of Ilford, Essex. The area, formerly a part of the Hainault Forest, was developed from the 1930s, with major buildings after the Second World War. It is adjacent to the Metropolitan Green Belt and Hainault Forest Country Park, which contains fragments of the forest. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
