Hadley Wood, Middlesex

Hadley Wood is a suburban village on Enfield Chase in Middlesex. The village owes its existence to Charles Jack, owner of the Beech Hill Park estate from 1854. Jack negotiated the establishment of a Hadley Wood railway station with Great Northern Railway (1885), and obtained a lease from the Duchy of Lancaster to develop the land around it, alongside development on his own land. The village is within the council area of Enfield.
