Guy's Cliffe, Warwickshire

Guy's Cliffe is a hamlet in Warwickshire, on the River Avon. The name derives from the legendary Guy of Warwick, supposed to have retired to a hermitage on this site (Guy’s cave). This legend led to the founding of a chantry in 1423. The later Guy’s Cliff House (1751) is now a ruin. The Saxon mill (aka Guy's Cliffe Corn Mill) is now a pub. The hamlet is within the council area of Warwick (Warwickshire).
