Guiseley, Yorkshire
Guiseley is a small town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. A Saxon settlement existed around a spring which is now called Guiseley Wells. Once a farming community, Guiseley expanded with the arrival of the woollen industry in the 18th century and industrialisation in the 19th century. St Oswald's Church dates from the 11th century. The town is within the council area of Leeds.
