MenuGrove Park, Kent
Grove Park is a suburban area in Kent. The formerly rural area developed as a suburb after the opening of Grove Park railway station in 1871 and the construction of a road (also Grove Park) to link it to Mottingham. The station and the road were named after nearby Grove Farm. In 1902 Greenwich workhouse, later an isolation hospital, was built in Grove Park. Lewisham council built further houisng between the wars. The area is within the council area of Lewisham.
