Grimsby, Lincolnshire

Grimsby (or Great Grimsby) is a seaport town in Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey, on the Humber estuary. Founded by the Danes in the 9th century, Grimsby first developed as a fishing and trading port in the 12th century. Grimsby's port boomed from the early 19th century and it remains a major port. The town is within the council area of North East Lincolnshire.
