Griff, Yorkshire

Griff is a deserted mediæval village near Helmsley in Yorkshire, in the North Riding. The monument includes earthwork and buried remains of a mediæval settlement that formed part of a grange, which was under the control of the Cistercian Abbey of Rievaulx. It is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
