Great Clacton, Essex

Great Clacton is a former village that is now an urban area in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The resort of Clacton-on-Sea was developed on the coast to the south of the village of Great Clacton, both within the ancient parish of Great Clacton. The two settlements merged together during the 20th century with Great Clacton now usually being seen as a suburb of Clacton-on-Sea. It is within the council area of Tendring (Essex).
