Gowdystown, Down

Gowdystown is a hamlet in County Down. It is within the townlands of Quilly and Tullymacarath, in the civil parish of Dromore. The hamlet lies at a crossroads at the border of the townlands of Quilly and Tullymacarath. The name is recorded as 'Gowdy's Town' on early 19th century maps. Quilly Orange Hall dates from 1891. The hamlet is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
