MenuGortrush, Tyrone
Gortrush is an urban area in the north-west of Omagh, County Tyrone. It is within the townlands of Gortrush and Mullaghmenagh Upper, in the civil parish of Drumragh. Prior to the 20th century, Gortrush townland was sparsely populated, with dwellings along the north-south road through the townland (now Gortrush Drive). The southern part of Gortrush townland became part of the Omagh suburbs during the post-war era. The Gortrush Industrial Estate, extending into Mullaghmenagh Upper townland, was developed from the 1980s. The area is within the council area of Fermanagh and Omagh.
