Goring-by-Sea (often just 'Goring') is a former village that now forms an urban area in the west of Worthing, Sussex. Goring remained a small village into the 20th century, its population expanding after 1929 when it became part of the borough of Worthing. The Goring Hall estate was developed near the seafront from the late 1930s as a garden city, with concentric crescents. It is within the council area of Worthing (West Sussex).
