Goltho, Lincolnshire
Goltho is a hamlet and a deserted mediæval village in Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey. The village is believed to have been abandoned during the 15th century, St George's Chapel being the only survival. The present chapel probably dates from the 16th century, with an 18th century chancel and Victorian bellcote, though it was built on the site of the earlier village church. Goltho Hall was the ancestral seat of the Grantham family. The present hall was built in 1875. The hall and several nearby properties comprise the present-day hamlet. The hamlet is within the council area of West Lindsey (Lincolnshire).
