Golds Green, Staffordshire

Golds Green is an urban area in the north-west of West Bromwich, Staffordshire. It may be named from former landowners the Golde family. It was the scene of mining by the 1760s. The Balls Hill branch of the Birmingham Canal was opened to serve the pits in 1769. It is within the council area of Sandwell.
