Goddington, Kent

Goddington is a south-eastern suburb of Orpington, Kent. Goddington was once a small manor, first recorded in the 13th century as the property of Simon de Godyngton. Goddington House was built in 1893 for James Harris, whose family were lords of the manor from the late Middle Ages. The area remained rural into the 1920s, from when it developed as a suburb of Orpington. It is within the council area of Bromley.
