Glynn, Antrim
Glynn is a small village, lying on the River Glynn where it enters Lough Larne in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Glynn, in the civil parish of Glynn. St Patrick is reputed to have built the Church of Gluaire here around AD 435. The area was granted to Arthur Lord Chichester in 1620. The current St John's Church (C of I) dates from 1841. In the graveyard is a ruined 13th-century church. From the 1930s Glynn saw expansion with many of the thatched cottages being replaced by modern family housing. The village is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
