Glencorp, Antrim

Glencorp is one of the nine Glens of Antrim in County Antrim. It is within townlands of Cloghy East, Ballybrack, Falnaglass, Gruig, Laney, Fallinerlea, Tromra, Mullarts, Gortaghragan and Dromore, all in the civil parish of Layd. Glencorp runs south to north from Glenaan merging into Glendun. It lies between Gruig Top to the west and Cross Slieve to the east. Two roads run through it: the main road from Cushendall to Cushendun (A2); and the ‘High Road’ or the ‘Middle Road’ now called the Ballybrack Rd, formerly the main route through the glen. The glen is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
