Glenarm Castle, Antrim
Glenarm Castle is a 'Jacobethan'-style country mansion, the ancestral home of the Earl of Antrim, located within an ancient demesne at Glenarm, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Glenarm Demesne, in the civil parish of Tickmacrevan. The house in its present form dates from 1825 when Richard and William Morrison remodelled a double pile Palladian block of 1756 by Christopher Myers. The building stands on the site of an early 17th century house, built in stages by Sir Randal McDonnell (later 1st Earl of Antrim) between 1603 and 1636. The house is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
