Glenariff, Antrim
Glenariff (aka Glenariffe) is one of the nine Glens of Antrim in County Antrim. It is within townlands of Drumnacur, Tamlaght, Falrusklin, Greenaghan, Clonreagh, Craignagat, Callisnagh, Diskirt, Toberwine, Baraghilly, Doory, Glasmullen, Kilmore and Foriff, all in the civil parish of Layd. The Glenariff River runs through the glen, stretching from the Glenairiff Forest to meet the sea at Waterfoot. The glen is a U–shaped valley, the result of a combination of volcanic activity and glaciations. It is sometimes called the 'Queen of the Glens'. The glen is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
