Garston, Lancashire

Garston is a former village that is now an urban area in the south of Liverpool, Lancashire. It lies on the eastern banks of the River Mersey and has been a major port since the mid 19th century. The township of Garton was incorporated into the Liverpool county borough in 1903. It is within the council area of Liverpool.
