Garstang is an ancient market town in Lancashire, standing on the banks of the River Wyre and on the Lancaster Canal. Garstang's market day, on Thursdays, dates back to the early-1300s. Garstang Town Hall (1764) was designed in the neoclassical style. he town is overlooked by the ruined remains of Greenhalgh Castle. The town is within the council area of Wyre (Lancashire).
