Gamblestown, Down

Gamblestown is a hamlet in County Down. It is within the townland of Drumnaferry, in the civil parish of Magheralin. Historically, Gamblestown developed as a small rural settlement centred around a cluster of farm workers' cottages located along the Dromore Road. Almost all of these houses were demolished over the 20th century. Most of the current settlement, slightly east of the original hamlet, dates from the post-war period. The hamlet is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
