Gallows Dike, Yorkshire
Gallows Dike is a prehistoric cross ridge dyke, located on the north-eastern tip of Levisham Moor near Saltergate, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. Such dikes are believed to have been used as territorial boundary markers, probably demarcating land allotment within communities. It is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
