Galgorm, Antrim

Galgorm is a large suburban village near Ballymena, County Antrim. It is within the townlands of Galgorm Parks and Galgorm, in the civil parish of Ahoghill. Until the late 20th century, Galgorm was a small village outside the estate of the mid 17th-century Galgorm Castle. Since the 1960s, the areas north, east and west of the original village has seen large-scale suburban development, effectively turning Galgorm into a large suburban village, sometimes considered an outer suburb of Ballymena.
