Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Gainsborough is a town in Lincolnshire, in the Parts of Lindsey. Gainsborough stands on the banks of the River Trent and at one time it was an important port. Gainsborough Old Hall is one of the best preserved mediæval manor houses in England. The town is within the council area of West Lindsey (Lincolnshire).
