Fullwell Cross, Essex
Fulwell Cross is a suburban area in the north of Ilford, Essex. It is based around the Fullwell Cross junction, now a roundabout. A 'new Fairlop oak' was planted at the centre of Fullwell Cross roundabout as part of the Festival of Britain celebrations. Fullwell Cross library, opened in 1968, was designed by Frederick Gibberd, who also designed Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral. The area was also formerly known as Fullwell Hatch. It area is within the council area of Redbridge.
