Friday Hill, Essex

Friday Hill is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in Chingford, Essex. Its name may derive from 15th century landowner John Friday. The present Friday Hill House (1839) was designed in Tudor style by Lewis Vulliamy. The area around the house was developed as a housing estate in the mid 20th century. It is within the council area of Waltham Forest.
