Freezy Water, Middlesex

Freezy Water (or Freezywater) is a former hamlet that is now an urban area at the north-easternmost extent of Enfield, Middlesex. It developed alongside Ermine Street and is first recorded as 'Freezwater' in 1768. It was one of the last parts of Enfield to be developed. Although the first houses appeared around 1897, the area was not fully developed until after the Second World War. The church of Saint George (1906) is a large red-brick gothic building. The area is within the council area of Enfield.
