Frankenbury Camp, Hampshire

Frankenbury Camp is an Iron Age univallate hillfort near Godshill, Hampshire. It is situated on a slight promontory, overlooking the River Avon. The hillfort encloses a roughly oval shaped area of approximately 12 acres. The most elaborate defences are to the east and north-east, where they were constructed across the neck of the promontory. The site is within the council area of New Forest (Hampshire).
