MenuFramwellgate Bridge, Durham
Framwellgate Bridge is an early 15th-century bridge across the River Wear in the city of Durham, County Durham. The bridge was built after 1400 to replace one built early in the 12th century for Ranulf Flambard, Bishop of Durham 1099–1128. The current bridge is of two shallow arches, each with several reinforcing ribs. It is within the council area of County Durham.
