Four Winds, Down

The Four Winds is a suburban area, part of the larger suburban village of Newtownbreda in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballymaconaghy, in the civil parish of Knockbreda. The area was developed from the 1960s, its name coming from that of the historic crossroads ('four wynds') adjacent to which it was built. It is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
