Fort William, Inverness-shire

Fort William is the largest town in Inverness-shire after the City of Inverness. Fort William is a major tourist centre with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the north and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. The town is an important centre for hillwalking and climbing as Ben Nevis stands high above the town and many other Munro mountains rise nearby. The town is within the council area of Highland.
