Florida Manor, Down
Florida Manor is a large Georgian three-storey Palladian mansion, located within the Florida Demesne in County Down. It is within the townland of Kilmood and Ballybunden, in the civil parish of Kilmood. The Manor of Florida was created in 1638 on lands previously acquired by Sir James Montgomery from Con O’Neill. The estate was later acquired by the Gordon family, who built the present house around 1780-1800. The house is within the council area of Ards and North Down.
