Flatford Mill, Suffolk

Flatford Mill is an 18th-century water mill on the River Stour at Flatford, Suffolk. The date-stone on the mill says 1733, but some of the structure may be earlier. Attached to the mill is a 17th-century miller's cottage. The mill was owned by John Constable's father and is noted, along with its immediate surroundings, as the location for many of Constable's works. It is within the council area of Babergh (Suffolk).
