Fivemiletown, Tyrone

Fivemiletown is a small town in County Tyrone. It is within the townlands of Fivemiletown and Ballyvaddan, in the civil parish of Clogher. Fivemiletown's name reputedly comes from its location five Irish miles from its nearest neighbours: Clogher, Brookeborough and Tempo. Fivemiletown Creamery, founded in 1898, is a producer of handmade speciality soft cheeses and cheddars. The town is within the council area of Mid Ulster.
