Fishing Barrow, Dorset
Fishing Barrow is a Bronze Age bell barrow on Godlingston Heath on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. It is set on a low sandstone ridge overlooking Poole Harbour. It has a central mound composed of earth, sand and turf with maximum dimensions of about 60ft in diameter and about 5ft in height. This is surrounded by a berm or gently sloping platform 6ft wide which is surrounded by a ditch from which material was quarried during the construction of the monument. It is within the council area of Dorset.
