Feystown, Antrim

Feystown is a dispersed hamlet in County Antrim. It is within the townlands of Deer Park Farms and Clady, in the civil parish of Tickmacrevan. Feystown was a clachan in Clady townland. The chapel in the clachan was in ruins by the early 19th century and the clachan abandoned by the end of that century. A replacement Feytown Chapel (St Mary's RC Church) was consecrated on the Feystown Road (now the C71) in 1827. Feystown Public School (now closed) was opened in 1910. There are several dwellings along Feystown Raod and the surrounding area, which maintain the identity of Feystown. The hamlet is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
