Feltham, Middlesex
Feltham is a town in Middlesex. Feltham formed an ancient parish in the Spelthorne hundred of Middlesex. Feltham remained a largely agricultural village, centred around St Dunstan's Church, into the 19th century. The population grew after the opening of Feltham railway station in 1848, the modern town centre being located near the station. From 1905 -1965, for local government purposes, it was the basis of Feltham urban district. Heathrow Airport, north-west of the town, is now a major source of employment. The town is within the council area of Hounslow.
