Fawcliff, Northamptonshire
Fawcliff (aka Braunston Cleves) is a deserted mediæval village near Braunston in Northamptonshire. Little is known about the settlement. It is thought to have been part of the manor of Braunston at the time of Domesday and still lies in Braunston CP. It was deserted by the 18th century. The village site is marked by earthworks and lies on the south-west slope of Cleve's Hill. It is within the council area of West Northamptonshire.
