Elm Park, Essex

Elm Park is a south-western suburb of Hornchurch, Essex. The estate was developed on farmland by Richard Costain and Sons Ltd in the 1930s. Elm Park Garden City and its underground station were opened by Hilton Young, Minister of Health in May 1935, amid celebration featuring the Dagenham Girl Pipers. St Nicholas church was built in 1955–6. The area is within the council area of Havering.
