Edgware, Middlesex
Edgware is a suburban town in Middlesex. Edgware lies on Watling Street, known here as the Edgware Road after this town. Edgware remained a rural settlement into the 20th century, during which it became increasingly suburbanised, especially after the opening of Edgware tube station in 1924. The church of St Margaret of Antioch has a tower from the 15th century. tower dates from the fifteenth century. The remainder of the church is of red brick, and was largely rebuilt in 1764. The town is within the council areas of Barnet and Harrow.
