Easedike, Yorkshire
Easedike is a deserted mediæval village near Wighill in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The village village was first referred to as Estdik in 1254, the stronghold of the FitzAlans, and was occupied into the 17th century. Earthworks, including embanked enclosures visible on air photographs, survive to the north and south of Easedike Farm. The site is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
