Easby Abbey, Yorkshire
Easby Abbey (aka Abbey of St Agatha) is the ruins of Premonstratensian abbey at Easby, Yorkshire, in the North Riding. It was founded in 1152 by Roald, Constable of Richmond Castle. Much of the monastery was allowed to fall into ruin after the Dissolution though significant standing ruins survive. The abbey church has survived as the Parish Church of St Agatha. The 14th-century abbey gatehouse also survives. The monument is within the council area of North Yorkshire.
