Earl's Court, Middlesex

Earl's Court is an urban area in Kensington, Middlesex. The name is thought to derive from the location here of the manor house of the de Vere family (Earls of Oxford) during the many centuries they were lords of the manor of Kensington. Earl's Court was developed from farmland into a suburban in the late 19th century. From 1937-2017 the area was the location of the Earl's Court Exhibition Centre. The area is within the council area of Kensington and Chelsea.
