Eamont Bridge, Cumberland / Westmorland
Eamont Bridge is a 15th-century road bridge over the River Eamont connecting Penrith, Cumberland to the village of Eamont Bridge, Westmorland. It was built around 1425 after the Bishop of Durham, Thomas Langley, offered indulgences to anyone contributing towards its construction. It was widened in 1875. It currently carries the A6. It is within the council area of Westmorland and Furness.
